About Nicole Cote, MD
Dr. Nicole Cote is an experienced, Board-Certified Dermatologist and Mohs Surgeon. Originally from Long Island, NY, she received her BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Virginia as an Echols Scholar. She then went on to attend Duke University School of Medicine on full scholarship after obtaining the Board of Governors award. During her elective year at Duke, she performed research in a year-long basic science research program. Thereafter, Dr. Cote added an additional year in clinical research in the dermatology department at Duke where she focused on cutaneous oncology.
Dr. Cote spent her intern year in the Department of Internal Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems and then went on to complete her dermatology residency at the same institution. After receiving board certification in dermatology, she completed a dermatopathology fellowship at University of Virginia. Upon board certification in dermatopathology, Dr. Cote practiced as an assistant professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. She returned to Medical College of Virginia to complete a Mohs and procedural dermatology fellowship.
Dr. Cote has previously worked at academic institutions such as Mayo Clinic and the University of Connecticut. Eventually, returning to the Upper Midwest in order to be closer to family, Dr. Cote joined Forefront Dermatology where she anchored the Mohs unit for Oshkosh and Appleton, Wisconsin and also practiced general dermatology.
Dr. Cote brings her surgical and medical dermatology expertise to the Chicago area. She will perform Mohs and other dermatologic surgery in the Arlington Heights office.
